John Cleese is an Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning British actor, writer, producer and comedian. He co-founded the comedy troupe Monty Python, which created the series Monty Python's Flying Circus and the films And Now for Something Completely Different, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life. From 1975 to 1979, Cleese wrote and starred on the series Fawlty Towers. His other best-known work includes the films A Fish Called Wanda, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day and the Harry Potter and Shrek franchises. Cleese also memorably guest starred on Cheers, 3rd Rock from the Sun and Will & Grace. His memoir, So, Anyway…, was published in 2014.
