Actor Jim Parsons is best known for portraying Sheldon Cooper on CBS' The Big Bang Theory, a role for which he has won four Emmy Awards. In 2011, Parsons made his Broadway debut in The Normal Heart playing Tommy Boatwright. He reprised the role for the HBO TV movie, scoring another Emmy nomination. Parsons returned to Broadway in 2015 in An Act of God and starred in 2016's Hidden Figures. Parsons also starred in The Boys in the Band, which was released in September 2020. He was in the 2020 production of A Man of No Importance. He can next be seen reprising his role of Sheldon Cooper on Young Sheldon.
