Elle Fanning began her career as a child actress with roles in I Am Sam, Babel and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. After scoring her breakthrough in J.J. Abrams' sci-fi drama Super 8, Fanning went on to star in Maleficent, 20th Century Women, Live by Night, The Vanishing of Sidney Hall, The Beguiled, Mary Shelley and Teen Spirit. She also starred alongside her sister, Dakota Fanning, in the film The Nightingale. Fanning played Michelle Carter in the TV miniseries The Girl from Plainville and also stars in the Hulu series The Great. She can next be seen in the Broadway play Appropriate, which opens December 18 at Hayes Theater.
