Derek Jeter is the former shortstop for the New York Yankees. Over the course of 20 seasons with the team, he was named Rookie of the Year, won five World Series championships, was named World Series MVP, was elected to the All-Star team 14 times and won five Gold Glove Awards, five Silver Slugger Awards, two Hank Aaron Awards and a Roberto Clemente Award. Jeter is the Yankees' all-time leader in hits, doubles, games played, stolen bases, times on base, plate appearances and at-bats and is a member of the 3,000 hit club. He established the Turn 2 Foundation in 1996 and launched The Players' Tribune in 2014. In September 2021, Jeter was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame with the 2020 class. Jeter was a part owner and CEO of the Miami Marlins from September 2017 until he announced his departure in February 2022.
