Actress Brooke Shields is a former child star and model who made waves for taking on provocative roles in 1978's Pretty Baby and 1980's The Blue Lagoon while age 12 and 15, respectively. She also appeared in a series of sensual ads for Calvin Klein jeans in 1980. Three years later, Shields took a break from show business to attend Princeton University. Her career comeback began in 1996 with a starring role on the NBC comedy Suddenly Susan, which ran for four seasons. Shields also fronted NBC's Lipstick Jungle from 2008 to 2009. The actress' memoir, There Was a Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me, will be published on November 18.
