Bobby Flay is an award-winning chef, television personality and cookbook author. He opened his first restaurant, Mesa Grill, in 1991 in New York City; BOLO followed two years later. That same year, Flay was named the James Beard Foundation’s Rising Star Chef of the Year. Bar Americain, Bobby Flay Steak, Bobby’s Burger Palace, GATO and Amalfi followed in the nearly two decades after. Along the way, Flay penned 16 cookbooks and won four Emmy Awards for his series Boy Meets Grill, Grill It! with Bobby Flay and Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction. He was inducted into the Culinary Hall of Fame in 2013. Flay can currently be found hosting his podcast, Always Hungry, with his daughter, Sophie Flay.
