Barbara Walters is a longtime journalist, anchor and on-air personality best known for her probing interview technique. She got her start at NBC's The Today Show in 1961 as a writer and researcher before going on to become the program's first female co-host in 1974. Two years later, she joined the ABC News family, where she co-anchored ABC Evening News and 20/20 and co-created The View in 1997. She returns to the airwaves to host another installment of The 10 Most Fascinating People on December 14.
