After Ruby Riott was named as the final member of the Raw Women’s Survivor Series Team, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch attacked Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey in the locker room area, marking the beginning of Team Blue’s all-out assault on the red brand. How might this change the landscape of this Sunday’s Survivor Series event?
Roman Reigns’ odds of retaining his United States Title went from rough to near-insurmountable over the course of about five minutes in the beginning of Raw when Braun Strowman came to the ring to exact revenge on The Big Dog for last week’s double Spear. The Monster Among Men picked a hell of a time to make his move, as the bell hadn’t even tolled on Reigns’ U.S. Title defense against Jeri-KO when Strowman came calling. The Gift of Destruction’s assault was thankfully cut short by the arrival of Seth Rollins, whom Strowman had been fighting backstage before Raw even started in earnest.
For those of you who had a WWE Hall of Famer and a former WWE Champion in your General Manager pool, it’s time to collect your winnings. Coming off last week’s announcement that Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon would appoint GMs to run the day-to-day of their respective shows, the McMahon siblings went left-field in both of their selections.
Well whaddya know? Enzo Amore has apparently played a tune with Francesca II. Muscles Marinara was left singing a sad song, along with Big Cass and The New Day, when they teamed up against Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson & The Vaudevillains in advance of their Fatal 4-Way clash for the WWE Tag Team Titles Sunday.
She has arrived. She, of course, being Stephanie McMahon. And Shane McMahon’s stint as Raw’s showrunner might not even make it past the first pay-per-view of the “new era” now that The Billion Dollar Princess has returned to claim what she believes is hers.
Having left Triple H in a pile of flat screen fragments and stitches last week, Roman Reigns has now set his sights on The Authority’s power itself. Despite Stephanie McMahon’s continued bravado in the face of The Big Dog’s warpath, Reigns certainly did his part to stake his claim on The Authority’s territory in Raw’s opening moments. Not only did he explicitly promise Stephanie that he would dethrone The King of Kings at WrestleMania, but he also blocked her attempt at a retaliatory slap to the face. Yep, he is ready.
At WrestleMania, The Undertaker will battle Shane McMahon inside Hell in a Cell. If Shane emerges victorious, he will not only gain control of Raw, but the match will also mark The Phenom’s last at The Show of Shows.
With that in mind, Undertaker returned to WWE’s flagship show, making it clear it would not be his last at The Showcase of the Immortals. He then insinuated that Mr. McMahon’s comments about him last week may lead to The Chairman of WWE’s blood being on his hands and that Shane McMahon will rest in peace in “his yard.”
Three weeks from WrestleMania and here we are. For the first time, all three of the players in the battle that will determine the future of Monday Night Raw — Shane McMahon, Mr. McMahon and The Undertaker — were together in the ring. It was predictably tense, particularly when Shane insinuated The Deadman was little more than The Chairman’s puppet. That was enough for The Phenom to throw hands, though Shane held his own against The Demon of Death Valley until The Chairman quite literally threw Shane-O-Mac gullet-first into a chokeslam. Mr.
