The heart-pounding final moments of Part V zoom into this week’s sixth outing with Mason (Christopher Abbott) walking up to J.D.’s home, gun in-hand. The episode is also very flashback-heavy and we learn more about the conversations and events that led to Cora (Jessica Biel) being with J.D. on July 4, 2012. In episode 106 of Shooter, "Killing Zone," we met Rathford O’Brien, played by William Fichtner, who provided a lot of this week’s badassery. O’Brien is the gunsmith who supplied the red bullets Tree of Liberty was using, just like the one used to kill the Ukrainian President. Of course, Bob Lee Swagger (Ryan Phillippe) found out it wasn’t exactly O’Brien’s bullet the shooter used either, but this was one visit worth making. In an episode that begins with Bob Lee Swagger (Ryan Phillippe) waking up on a hillside, then immediately having to fight for his life, he gets critical help in his search for the real shooter. Agent Nadine Memphis (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) and general bad dude Jack Payne (Eddie McClintock) continue their dance as she tries to get at the truth. Isaac Johnson (Omar Epps) also starts to question his role in the conspiracy.
