Interstate battles potentially arising from state laws protecting abortion providers

A new law in Connecticut aims to expand abortion access and protect providers from being sued or even criminally charged by other states. After Texas passed its abortion law, states like Missouri are looking at similar legislation that would allow private citizens to sue abortion providers. Scholars say that the criminal law hasn’t been tested, and anti-abortion states might push boundaries if Roe v. Wade is overturned, prompting states like Connecticut to move quickly.
