Hello, friend. And welcome to season three of Mr. Robot, premiering October 11 on USA Network.
Announced in March, actor Bobby Cannavale (Vinyl, Boardwalk Empire) will join the upcoming season of USA's critical hit about a group of hackers determined to take down one of the world's largest financial institutions. Cannavale's character is thus far a mysterious one, merely billed as "Irving." In a press release by the network, Irving is characterized as "a laconic, no-nonsense used car salesman."
Here's a first look at Irving:
Picking up immediately following the season two cliffhanger, Mr. Robot will explore each character’s motivations, as well as the disintegration between Elliot (Rami Malek) and Mr. Robot (Christian Slater). The news of Cannavale's addition as series regular came with the announcement that BD Wong (Whiterose) will also be upped to season regular this year. (Wong was nominated for an Emmy for his performance of Whiterose in season two).
