Graceland creator Jeff Eastin has gone on the record comparing Paul Briggs’ storyline this season to notorious criminal mastermind Whitey Bulger. “We’re borrowing from the real Whitey Bulger case, where an FBI agent who was with Whitey and knew about all the murders and every other bad thing he did is still serving time in prison,” Eastin told The Hollywood Reporter in June.
This season, Briggs has been tasked with taking down the Sarkissian crime family, and to do this, he has embedded himself with Ari Adamian. The violent and deadly crimes he’s witnessed and been a part of run parallel to the FBI informant in the Whitey Bulger case, whose story you can also see more of in the new film Black Mass, which comes out this week. In the third season of Graceland, however, Briggs’ involvement with the Sarkissian family can have major legal ramifications on the whole Graceland house. Find out how Briggs’ story arc comes to a close this season on Thursday night’s Graceland season finale.
