The pilot episode of Colony premiered at New York Comic Con on October 9th to a packed house, and already the positive buzz is building. We’re still a few months from the premiere, but check out all the reasons you’ll be excited to watch the new series and read some of the reactions direct from New York Comic Con.
Collider wrote that "the pilot is still engaging, suspenseful and brimming with potential. Cuse and Condal present an intriguing, unique and especially dynamic core premise that could prove to be more thoughtful than most invasion/post-apocalyptic scenarios, but the success of the story will undoubtedly depend on how they go about unveiling the ‘hosts.’"
io9 is already predicting that Colony will create a whole new fandom. They wrote that “NYCC panel moderator Ben Blacker (Nerdist) said it’s a great companion piece to Mr. Robot for USA’s growing portfolio of cinematic, genre-bending thrillers.
And IGN looked to the positive audience reactions at the Hammerstein Ballroom to make their prediction as to the future success of the show. “This was only the second time Colony has been shown publicly. Judging by the quality of the pilot and audience reactions, USA may have another solid show on its hands” they wrote.
