Dear Chrisley Nation:
What the hell was that? Y’all thought it was so funny when my mother pranked me, didn’t you? Well, let’s just say that nobody knows how to prank like Todd Chrisley and revenge is a dish best served cold! What I will say is that Nanny’s prank had one good thing going for it -- I actually believed my mother could run up a $20,000 debt at the casino! That woman is off the chain.
Now, another thing that got everyone talking this week was Shane McAnally! Seriously, how great is he? We had a lot of fun showing Savannah the ropes -- although I don’t think she’d say the same thing…
Can I be a little controlling? Maybe. But the truth is that as your kids get older, they don’t necessarily seek your advice anymore, but they still need Mommy and Daddy when things don’t go their way. I knew immediately that quitting school was not the right option for Savannah right now. I just needed her to see it too -- and I think we accomplished that.
Does everybody need a college degree to succeed? Hell, no! I’m proof of that myself. I did not come from money and, even though my parents did the best they could to provide for me, it’s not like I had the same choices that my children do. So, yes, I want to see them seize the opportunities where they can. God has blessed us with this life and we never want to take anything for granted!
Speaking of blessings…one other thing. I have to tell to you that Julie has a project in the works that we are SO EXCITED about. That woman is my world and she has done everything for this family. It makes me so proud and my heart so full to see her doing something that she’s passionate about. I cannot WAIT to share it with y’all, which is going to be real soon.
Lastly, some sad news. Our family lost a dear friend -- and the world lost an amazing and beautiful person -- when Terry Goldman passed away suddenly this week at only 45 years old. Terry was a social media genius and instrumental in EVERYTHING CHRISLEY. More than that, he was family and we already miss him more than words can say. We love you, Terry. Until we meet again, we carry you in our hearts.
My friends, life is a fragile thing and every moment we share together is a blessing. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a part of our lives and God bless.
Until next time,
