He was already crowned Reality King this month by the Reality Television Awards, and now our very own Patriarch of Perfection Todd Chrisley has garnered the attention of the critics.
In fact, the whole Chrisley family is up for a Critics' Choice Award, announced Monday morning by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA). USA Network's Chrisley Knows Best is nominated for "Best Unstructured Reality Series," alongside Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown (CNN), Deadliest Catch (Discovery), Ice Road Truckers (History), Intervention (A&E), and Naked and Afraid (Discovery).
Unlike "Structured Reality Series" that follow the same format every week -- such as this year's nominees Chopped, Inside the Actors Studio, Penn & Teller: Fool Us, Project Runway, Shark Tank, and Undercover Boss -- "Unstructured Reality Series" are driven by the actions of the shows' stars and do not employ a consistent template.
Chrisley Knows Best just wrapped its fourth season, which was extended to 26 episodes in July after delivering top ratings in coveted demographics during the first half of season four between March 8 and June 14. Season four ranked as the number-one cable unscripted series in its timeslot year-to-date, as well as the number-two cable series in its timeslot among adults 18-49, adults 25-54, and adults 18-34.
A big congratulations to the whole Chrisley team! The winners will be announced during A&E's broadcast of the 22nd Annual Critics' Choice Awards on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 8p EST.
