Dear Chrisley Nation:
First of all, I implore all of you to cast your ballot in what might be the biggest and most important vote of our lifetimes: The Reality Television Awards. Voting closes soon, so please pick Chrisley Knows Best in the categories of "Dynamic Cast - Returning” and “Reality King” (that would be me)! You can vote once a day between now and Sunday, Oct. 2.
Now, onto what’s happening this week. Julie and I are in Los Angeles! Of course, it’s never just relaxing under the palm trees for the Chrisleys -- but we’re having plenty of fun; don’t you worry. We’re doing the rounds this week and I hope everyone on the west coast caught our KTLA spot this morning. Tomorrow, look out for us on Access Hollywood Live with Kit Hoover and Natalie Morales, which will be on NBC at 11am PST/12pm EST. Good stuff!
Things have been crazy lately and, as always, we feel so blessed to have the love and support of our fans. I can’t tell you how much it means to us to have each and every one of you reach out and be a part of our lives. It certainly helps us get through the difficult times -- and, like any family, we always hit some bumps in the road. Listen, I believe that life can be a drag sometimes, so you’ve got to drag yourself through it!
Speaking of drag…
Okay, so this week was a little much -- even for me. But I’m sorry! Julie is the easiest person in the world to prank and I hope y’all at home were laughing as hard as me and Bill. We certainly brought our A-game to drag-queen bingo. Maybe Julie will think twice before she tries to ditch the guys and have a girls-only night!
I do have more sympathy for all you women out there after playing the part myself. Those high-heels are hell. And the makeup and wig felt downright itchy; Biore strips for days! I think I’ll go back full-time to Todd Chrisley au natural.
Now, can we talk about my boy Chase? How proud was I at the end of this week’s episode? I didn’t know if Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dumber could pull it off -- especially when I heard that they ripped out a kitchen before they even had a plan to put it back together again. But when I saw the results, I was blown away! Is he a house-flipping pro? No, not yet. He still has a lot to learn first -- both from his daddy, and from the mistakes he’ll make along the way. But is he on the path to becoming a big success? Absolutely! I am so excited to watch him grow and develop his career.
When our kids pour themselves into their passions -- whether it’s Chase and his real estate interests, or Savannah and her clothing line -- we feel so blessed. Nothing as a parent has been more challenging than raising adult children, so when I see my kids setting themselves up to have productive and successful adults lives, it lifts me up more than I could have ever imagined.
Thank you all so much for watching this show every week and coming on Facebook Live with me. I love that we can share the laughs and the struggles together, and I mean it when I say I feel like you are a part of this family! Looking forward to chatting next week.
