Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) is a sensitive, dogged detective who finds himself disturbed and uniquely fascinated by Cora Tanner (Jessica Biel), an ordinary housewife who impulsively, and very publicly, commits a violent crime.

Bill Pullman stars in USA Network’s upcoming psychological thriller THE SINNER as Detective Harry Ambrose, a sensitive, dogged detective who finds himself disturbed and uniquely fascinated by Cora Tanner (Jessica Biel), an ordinary housewife who impulsively, and very publicly, commits a violent crime. Convinced the bare facts of the case conceal something considerably more significant, Ambrose starts to investigate Cora’s life. A chilling limited series, THE SINNER will premiere this summer on USA Network.

Bill Pullman started acting professionally in New York theater in 1983, and shortly after began a film career which currently spans over seventy features and several television series.  In the past fifteen years, Pullman has acted in six major theater productions in New York City and has been nominated as a best actor four times.  

Pullman’s movie career includes the blockbuster comedies “Ruthless People,” “Spaceballs,” “Sleepless in Seattle,” “While You Were Sleeping,” “Casper,” and “Bottle Shock,” and dramas “The Serpent and the Rainbow,” “The Accidental Tourist,” and “Igby Goes Down.”  He is also known for his turn as the nation’s President in the action franchise “Independence Day,” and for roles in the thriller “Malice” and westerns “The Virginian” and “Wyatt Earp.”  Leaving no genre off his resume, Pullman also stars in the film noirs “The Last Seduction,” “Lost Highway,” “The Zero Effect” and “Surveillance,” and the horror movie “The Grudge.”  On television, he was seen in “Revelations,” “Torchwood” and “1600 Penn.”

Most recently, Pullman was seen in “Independence Day: Resurgence” and “Brother Nature,” opposite Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan, as well as “LBJ” with Woody Harrelson.  Scheduled for release are “Battle of the Sexes,” with Emma Stone and Steve Carell, and “Trouble” with Angelica Houston. In addition to THE SINNER, Pullman is currently shooting “The Ballad of Lefty Brown” opposite Tommy Flanagan, Peter Fonda.
