The Sinner, USA Network's upcoming psychological thriller starring Jessica Biel (The Illusionist, Hitchcock) and Bill Pullman (Independence Day, Torchwood), is an official selection of 16th Annual Tribeca Film Festival!
On Apr. 25, TFF will screen the world premiere of The Sinner, followed by a moderated panel with stars Biel (who also serves as executive producer), Pullman, and Christopher Abbott (Girls), along with the episode's director Antonio Campos (After School, Christine) and executive producer Derek Simonds (The Astronaut Wives Club).
In The Sinner, a young mother (Biel) is overcome by an inexplicable fit of rage and commits a startling act of violence. The event launches an inverted and utterly surprising crime thriller whose driving force is not the “who” or the “what,” -- but the “why.” Soon the investigator (Pullman) finds himself obsessed with uncovering the woman's buried motive. The Sinner premieres on USA Network this summer; watch the first teaser trailer here:
For the second year in a row, Tribeca TV will showcase a mix of the most talked-about new series, debut season premieres of audience favorites, and highlight a number of indie pilots and documentary series. Tickets and information are available at TribecaFilm.com.
