Harvey must weigh his commitment to his coup when Jessica comes onboard the Ava Hessington case.  They soon learn that Cameron Dennis has video footage of Ava and her number 2, Nick Howell, bribing a foreign official, prompting Jessica and Harvey to worry that Ava’s protégé has cut a deal.

At the same time, Louis bids an emotional goodbye to the associate pool, but he learns this cloud has a silver lining when Jessica grants him an associate of his own to mentor.  Of course, to Louis, there’s only one potential mentee worth the time: Mike.  So after getting the go-ahead from Harvey, Louis attempts to woo Mike while working alongside him on the seemingly unwinnable case of family restaurant being threatened by eminent domain.

Meanwhile, Harvey makes a visit to Nick in the hopes of talking him out of testifying against Ava by appealing to his sense of regret.  It’s a feeling that seems to be sweeping the halls of Pearson Darby, as Louis tries to prove to Mike that he’s not the horrible task master he used to be, while Mike and Jessica each approach Harvey looking for a way to bury the hatchet.  But like it or not, sometimes when a line is crossed there’s no going back, and sometimes to move forward, someone has to be left behind…
