Jack Soloff may be a senior partner at Pearson Specter Litt, but he has a hard time fitting in.
When his plan to re-structure the firm’s compensation formula called out Harvey’s astronomical salary, Soloff found an ally in Louis — who was really using Jack to get in Harvey’s good graces. Louis planted Harvey’s salary details in the copier, knowing that the information would leak to all of the partners, incensing them to vote for Jack’s new plan so he could come to Harvey’s rescue. But Louis’ scheme only ended up angering Harvey and Jessica, while alienating Jack, who ultimately took the blame for the copier debacle.
Following Salarygate, Jack was at odds with Louis and ended up sabotaging a deal with McKernon Motors — while working with firm nemesis number-one, Daniel Hardman — so we know that Jack is capable of doing something underhanded.
After Jessica called Jack out, telling him to undo his deal with Fletcher Motors, he felt that once again she was showing her favoritism toward Harvey over him. He decided to make nice with Mike in order to garner Jessica’s favor, but Mike didn’t completely trust Jack either. It wasn’t until Mike pulled off an amazing email ruse during a case that Jack realized Mike had something special. He nominated Mike for junior partner, which begs the question: why would Jack drop a dime on Mike? Maybe he has just found out Mike’s secret and doesn’t want to be humiliated again — or maybe he’s known for a while and this was part of his plan to expose Team Specter once and for all.
