Tiger Woods

Eldrick (Tiger) Woods, the World No. 1, returned to dominance with six PGA Tour victories in 2005, including major wins at the Masters Tournament and the British Open. Moved to third in career professional majors with 10 and seventh in all-time PGA Tour wins (46). Finished runner-up at The Tour Championship to surpass $10 million in season's earnings for the first time in career.

With his second Masters victory in 2001, Tiger became the first ever to hold all four professional major championships at the same time. He is the career victories leader among active players on the PGA Tour, and is the career money list leader.

His TigerJam Golf Tournament, now in its seventh season, has raised millions of dollars for youth-driven charities. In 2004, Tiger married his longtime girlfriend, Elin Nordegren. Nicknamed "Tiger" after a Vietnamese soldier who was a friend of his father's in Vietnam.
