Padraig Harrington
One of the preeminent European players, Padraig Harrington didn't skip a beat in his first full season on the PGA Tour. Paddy picked up his first two wins on Tour, with triumphs at the Honda Classic and the Barclays Classic. Harrington rallied from seven strokes down to force a playoff at the Honda Classic, where he bested Vijay Singh when the Fiji legend missed a simple 3-foot putt. And after a brief dry spell in the middle of the season, Harrington drained a remarkable eagle on the final hole of the Honda Classic to overtake Jim Furyk.
Harrington is coached by Bob Torrance, father of European legend Sam Torrance. Paddy is also a distant cousin of Detroit Lions quarterback Joey Harrington.
