Sergio Garcia

Sergio Garcia finished the season No. 8 in the Official World Golf Ranking in 2005 after winning on both the PGA and European Tours. His lone win on the PGA Tour and sixth of his career came at the Booz Allen Classic, where he defeated Davis Love III, Adam Scott and Ben Crane by two shots. Garcia posted two top-10s at majors in 2005, bringing his Top-10 total to 10 in 26 starts.

Nicknamed "El Nino", Garcia developed his golf game under the supervision of his father and coach, Victor. He began his career at age 3, and by age 12 had secured the championship at his home club, the Club de Golf de Mediterraneo, in Spain.

Garcia turned professional in 1999, taking 21 amateur titles with him and becoming the first Amateur Champion to finish low amateur in the 1999 Master Tournament. He won the Irish Open on his sixth start as a professional and became the fourth youngest winner on The European Tour at age 19.

An avid soccer fan, Garcia contributes his best non-golfing moment to watching live as his favorite team, Real Madrid, took the 2000 championship and celebrating with the team.
