HEATHER MITTS, WOMEN'S SOCCER

After striking gold in a memorable finish against powerhouse Brazil in the 2004 Athens games, the 2008 USA Women's Soccer team knows all eyes are on them as they look to defend their crown. Nine members of the gold-medal winning 2004 team will take the field at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, including Heather Mitts and Kate Markgraf, who anchor a world-class defensive core.

With the bullseye squarely on their back, Team USA knows that winning the gold this year will not be easy.
