Whip-smart with a strong intuition and a stronger ego, FBI Special Agent Nadine Memphis is more than capable of holding her own. She was once a rising star in the Bureau, until an accidental shooting that resulted in the death of a hostage put a damper on her career and destroyed her confidence behind the trigger. She's worked hard to come back from that, and now, as the arresting officer of would-be assassin Bob Lee Swagger, Nadine's career could be back on the upswing. If only she could get over that nagging feeling that Bob Lee might be innocent.
