JAMAICAN SWITCH • Noun
A scam in which a victim is promised payment for holding valuables for a con man, on the condition that the victim put up a small deposit as proof of loyalty. The valuables are either never received or are proven to be worthless. Either way, the deposit is never returned and the victim is never paid.
