Dem Franchize Boyz
Dem Franchize Boyz formed in their Atlanta’s Westside high school. As teens, they put their minds and rhyme skills together and throughout high school and college they honed their vision into what it is today – a new wave of crunk that paints a graphic picture of the streets of Atlanta and they raw lifestyle.
Prior to their 2004 debut, Dem Franchize Boyz (DFB) spent a period pushing low-key releases and mixtapes, creating a local following and scoring them a deal on Universal/Motown Records. But when Jermaine Dupri and his So So Def label moved from Arista to Virgin one of his first acquisitions was DFB, who soon scored a number one R&B hit. This set the stage for the top ten album ON TOP OF OUR GAME and with the follow-up single "Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It", DFB knew they had arrived
