EPISODE PREMIERE: July 29, 2007
LOGLINE:A serious case of appendicitis sends Johnny into another coma, and this time it's up to Sarah to save him.
SYNOPSIS:Driving home after an evening away from the kids, Johnny is suddenly hit with stomach pains so severe that Sarah rushes him to the nearest emergency room, which is located in a rural hospital miles from nowhere. As Johnny rambles on somewhat incoherently, Sarah takes him into the facility despite his protests. She can't tell if he's seeing visions or reacting to pain, but it's clear that Johnny believes if he's admitted to the hospital, he'll wind up in another coma. Sarah decides she can't risk listening to Johnny's delirious warnings when Dr. Cole (Tom Barnett) tells her that Johnny's appendix is inflamed and he must operate before it bursts. Vision becomes reality when Johnny slips into a coma after what should have been a routine operation. Sarah can't believe that she's right back where she started years ago and this time, Johnny saw it coming. Overwhelmed by this twist of fate, she kisses Johnny in a moment of quiet regret.
Sarah decides to take action. Since one of Johnny's visions came true, she's determined to piece together the rest of his bizarre premonitions and take a closer look at Dr. Cole and the facility to figure out what else his visions were telling him. She remembers that just before going under, Johnny said to call Sheriff Turner. Sarah is reluctant about contacting her, knowing that Turner began conducting an investigation into Walt as soon as she took over his job. She decides, however, to make the call believing that she must trust in herself and in Johnny if she wants to bring him back. Surprisingly, Sarah finds an unlikely ally in the Sheriff as they work together to decode Johnny's visions in order to save him and the other patients.
