Roberta B. Being a geek often means a person is a trekkie. Well, let's just say I'm the biggest trekkie in this part of the world. I also love computers, especially those with fruity taste :P Why am I telling you these 2 things? Because I think that every trekkie in the world (and we are the most powerful fans on this planet) should become a fan of The Dead Zone! When I saw that late Michael Piller had been producing this show, I just knew that I (and every other trekkie) would love it. And the first episode I saw was my proof. As I told you, I love computers. I have watched the "must-see geek movie" – Pirates of the Silicon Valley – several times. So imagine my surprise when I saw "Bill Gates" looking and acting so good in The Dead Zone. He was the best choice for the famous Stephen King's character of Johnny Smith. I teach at the Academy of fine arts (I'm 32), I run computer shop and do a lot paintings and graphics. Computer art is my subject. As an graphic artist by vocation, I can tell you that The Dead Zone has great visual production, design, great special effects and really good photography! My favourite episode... Anything where good story is followed by great special effects, and any episode where Anthony Michael Hall can show what a great actor he is. I must not forget that Ezri Dax was one of my favourite characters in DS9, which makes me even more happy seeing Nicole deBoer in the Dead Zone. As you might know, a decade ago in my country there was a terrible war. We are still recovering from it. I am thankful to the Dead Zone, AMH and everyone who created this show for giving me something to look forward to, and to enjoy in my free time when I want to relax. Best wishes to everyone! Think you deserve the honor of "The Dead Zone Fan of the Week"? Email Webmaster@USANetwork.com your credentials and tell us which vision or Dead Zone episode is your favorite. Include your name and a photo of yourself, and we may feature you right here on the official site! |
