ABOUT THE SHOW

Created by Emmy Award-winning producer Dick Wolf, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit chronicles the life and crimes of the elite Special Victims Unit of the New York City Police Department.

The SVU squad consists of Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni), a seasoned veteran who has seen it all; his partner, Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), whose difficult past inspired her to join the force; Detective John Munch (Richard Belzer), a transfer from Baltimore's homicide unit who brings his acerbic wit, conspiracy theories, and street-honed investigative skills to the squad room; and his partner Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola (Ice-T), whose unique sense of humor and investigative experience make him a formidable match for Munch.
