David Alan Basche


David Alan Basche stars as Kenny in the USA Network Original Series "The Starter Wife."

Basche will simultaneously be seen recurring opposite Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price in the NBC series "Lipstick Jungle" adapted by the Candace Bushnell (Sex and the City) novel of the same name.  He will reprise his role from season one as Raver's arrogant boss, Mike Harness.

On the big screen Basche can be seen in "The Wedding Weekend," in which he stars with Molly Shannon, and "I'll Believe You" leading a fun cast including Fred Willard, Chris Elliot, Ed Helms and Patrick Warburton, both of which were recently in theaters around the nation.  Additionally, he worked with acclaimed feature director Paul Greengrass, playing passenger Todd Beamer (famous for the last words "let's roll") in Universal's Oscar nominated film, "UNITED 93."  Basche also stole Tom Cruise's wife in Steven Spielberg's "War of the Worlds," and can be seen flirting with Julia Roberts in Steven Soderbergh's film "Full Frontal."

On TV, Basche starred in the Emmy nominated Showtime film "Carry Me Home" with Jane Alexander, spent two seasons on NBC's "Three Sisters," and in Alan Ball's series "Oh Grow Up" on ABC.  He played Wilbur in Fox's ill-fated remake of "Mr. Ed," and has had recurring roles on ‘Frasier," "Miss Match," and Denis Leary's "Rescue Me."

On stage Basche recently completed "Wasps In Bed" Off Broadway at the Beckett Theatre.  He also starred in the Naked Angels production of the Drama Desk nominated play "SnakeBit" and he performed for over a year with Eli Wallach in the original New York production of the two character play "Visiting Mr. Green."

Basche is a graduate of the acting program at Emerson College and studied in New York with Michael Howard.
