When I realized my husband had been having an affair, I thought my life was over. What I came to realize was that my life had just really begun!

I had my own home, a great job, an awesome kid and a freedom I'd never known. On top of that, I was more confident about who I was than ever before. I now have a great group of friends who have become like family.

Most of all, it has given me a chance to create the kind of life that I would never have dreamed of with my ex-husband. Come to think of it, he and his mistress did me an unexpected favor. Maybe I should send them a thank you card!
