The world of fashion is rife with potential pitfalls, especially this season (the evil skinny jeans trend, for instance). But Suzy Buckley is here to help us stay safely in the Fashion Do zone—like Cricket’s charm bracelet—and avoid getting publicly sneered at as a Fashion Disaster—a la Molly and Jaden’s matching scuba mask lunchtime attire.
This multiple-trend-donning damsel in distress isn't a fashion victim: She's an aggressor!
It's unfortunate she missed the memo that single-process dark lowlights underneath a mane of ash, platinum locks went out with Madonna's Music album, but it's that crazy perm that scares us most. And while there's absolutely nothing wrong with "theme" looks, be they "goth," "rocker," "cowgirl" and so on, it's imperative to pick a single character and execute the look accordingly. Here, the confused soul pairs cowgirl boots with part-hillbilly, part-vamp black denim cut-offs, then tops it off with a black-and-white hippie, tie-dye tank.
Memories!
Experimenting with that double-pony tail look (a barrette at the crown, then another Goody elastic hairband uniting the hair once more a bit further down) was an initiation into adolescence circa 1985, but it's certainly not a look to be boasting anywhere near modern city streets. Further proof she's stuck in childhood: A faded Crayola-blue colored baby tee festooned in Care Bears-inspired, rainbow and cloud graphics. But the most overtly ill-chosen fashion item has to be her jean miniskirt—we last spotted this ripped, frayed hem and particularly outdated shade of sky blue-washed denim on a groupie in a Def Leppard video.
