Better Than Ever: Julia’s brief union with country singer Lovett didn’t seem to become too much of a stumbling block on her way to mega-stardom. Since then, Georgia’s most famous peach went on to star in a number of blockbusters, including the romantic comedies “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and “Notting Hill,” tearjerker “StepMom” (for which the story was written and the screenplay co-written by Gigi Levangie, author of “The Starter Wife”) and two slick, sleight-of-hand crime dramas with one of the sexiest male casts ever assembled, “Ocean’s Eleven” and “Ocean’s Twelve.” In July 2002, she wed cameraman Danny Moder, whom she met on the set of “The Mexican” in 2000. In November 2004, the original Pretty Woman became a mom of twins with Moder.
Star WattageFrom 2002-2005, Julia topped Hollywood Reporter’s annual list of the ten highest-paid actresses, regularly commanding $20 million dollars per film, missing the 2006 list only because she didn’t star in a live action film that year. She did, however, voice characters in two animated films, “The Ant Bully” and “Charlotte’s Web,” and make her Broadway debut, so it wasn’t like this Hollywood heavy-hitter was resting on her steel magnolias. Despite reports that she was retiring from the Hollywood grind, she has already completed filming “Charlie Wilson’s War” with Tom Hanks and is currently in production on another movie. Julia is also pregnant with her third child. Doesn’t look like this bride is going to run away from anything any time soon.
