Dr. Charles Kroger (Stanley Kamel) is Monk's therapist, a brilliant doctor who lends a sympathetic ear to Monk's many fears and phobias. The always patient, virtually unflappable Dr. Kroger has a unique ability to understand Monk, always managing to guide Monk through rough patches and help him control his disorder. Though wary of Monk's dependence on him and protective of his privacy, Dr. Kroger plays a vital role in helping Monk function in his personal life and as a detective.
