FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 10, 2007
Hi. My name is Nancy and I want to be Monk Fan of the Week.
I have watched Monk since its very first show and look forward to Fridays when I can see a new episode. Then I stay up late and watch the same episode over and over again! I love it when USA shows Monk on Sundays and I can watch it all day long. (This is crazy because I own the DVDs.) I watch very little TV during the off-season of Monk because nothing else compares to the combination of good writing, great acting and great scenes on one of my favorite cities in the world, San Francisco!
I enter the Monk-O-Phile contest every week and have yet to get a perfect score! This bothers me to no end and I am determined to get a perfect score one of these days. I am trying to win a Monk Bobblehead so that I can take it with me when I travel and take his picture. That would be so much fun! If I don't win one, I will have to put it on my Christmas list.
My favorite episode is when the captain has to move in with Monk while he is going through a divorce. Monk is running the vacuum cleaner and the lines in the carpet have to be perfectly straight! I laughed so hard the first time I saw that! It was that night that I realized that I am just like Monk! My friends make fun of me all the time because everything in my life has to be exact...my hair, my outfits, any projects that I am involved in.
I work as an accountant for a non profit organization and the auditors have never found a mistake in my books in over 21 years! My house is always "perfect," my gardens are always "perfect" and even the clothes in my closet line up perfectly just like Monk!!!! It takes me one solid week to decorate the inside of my house for Christmas because everything has to be exactly right.
The funny thing is, I also married a man who is more like Monk than I am! So there are two Monks in my house. I think this deserves a Monk Fan of the Week award!
Think you deserve the honor of "Monk Fan of the Week"?
