I believe I should qualify as the Monk fan of the week because everyone that knows me calls me Monk, and I take that as a compliment.
I am a police officer, and every day prior to my patrol I give my cruiser a complete wash down. I have to first hose out the inside of the car and use a wet and dry vacuum to clean the floors. I then use Windex wipes, which I carry in my brief case, to wipe down the entire inside, including the steering wheel, radio, computer, and dash board. If one of the flashing lights isn't working, I won't take the car on patrol. Everything has to be perfect!
I also have a problem with shaking hands. I hate that! Everyone wants to shake a cop's hand for some reason. I always tell them I have a cold and I don't want them to catch it. If I do get stuck having to shake someone's hand I immediately have to go to the cruiser to use my instant hand sanitizer. Three pumps usually does the trick. Then I'll wash my hands in hot water and soap at the earliest opportunity.
My favorite episode is Mr Monk Goes to a Rock Concert. I love it when Lt. Disher calls in sick, then he lies to Capt. Stottlemeyer as Capt. Stottlemeyer is standing behind him, watching him talking on the cell phone.
Well, working night shift, I will continue to DVR all episodes of Monk. I haven't missed one yet!
