FOR THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 25, 2006
Our latest Monk Fan of the Week, Greg, not only says that Monk is possibly the greatest show ever produced, but that Adrian Monk is his personal hero. Here is his entry...

Greg F. Monk represents the fears and insecurities we all have, only magnified a multitude of times. He also represents our vulnerability. Despite all his problems he always triumphs and helps other people. He also ends up facing some of his fears and deals with it in the process. I think there's a lesson in that. Adrian Monk is my hero. I have suffered from depression and to a lesser extent OCD almost my whole life, and watching Monk makes me feel good about myself and what I can contribute, and also that there are those who care. One thing that I have always appreciated about the show is that it jokes about what mental illness can make people do while being very sympathetic and understanding of it. I eventually plan on owning every episode on DVD. Think you deserve the honor of "Monk Fan of the Week"?
