USA NETWORK'S MONK PREMIERES AS #1

New York, NY - January 24, 2005 - USA Network's award-winning Monk returned in stellar form, continuing its third season on Friday, January 21 as #1 in cable for the total day, earning an outstanding 4.4 household rating, a 2.8 in P25-54 and a 2.0 in P18-49, with over 5.5 million viewers tuning in.

Driven by the performance of the Monk premiere, USA ranked first in basic cable prime (8p-11p) among households (2.7) and total viewers (3.3 million). In the 10pm hour, USA ranked first in all of cable among households, P25-54 and P18-49.

NBC Universal cable networks dominated the night. With the combined strength of Monk, Battlestar Galactica (SCI FI), Stargate Atlantis (SCI FI) and Stargate SG-1 (SCI FI), the networks claimed four of the top five shows among P25-54 for the night.
