ABOUT THE SHOW

Dr. Stephen Connor (Neal McDonough) is the leader of an elite rapid-response mobile medical team from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Always on call to spring into action at a moment's notice, the team is charged with investigating and containing outbreaks of dangerous and unexplained diseases. Authorized to go anywhere at any time and with federal authority to take charge when people start dying, their job requires them to medically reconstruct even the most grisly of events to prevent the next epidemic, plague, or contagion.

At Dr. Connor's side is Dr. Natalie Durant (Kelli Williams), who specializes in pathology and epidemiology. Working under Dr. Connor has given Dr. Durant a great respect for him, but she is also willing to stand up to him and do what she thinks is best in any life-threatening situation.

The world-class NIH team also includes specialist Frank Powell (Troy Winbush), a quiet but intense medical inspector who also has a personal friendship with Dr. Connor; Dr. Miles McCabe (Christopher Gorham), the newest and youngest team member who is always trying to prove that his reputation as a prodigy is well-deserved; and NIH publicity liaison Eva Rossi (Anna Belknap), who often must use unconventional methods to keep the media at bay during a crisis.
