EPISODE PREMIERE: May 1, 2011
Amidst the thump and hum of hip music at a glamorous fashion show, unrepentant bad-boy designer Nyle Brite revels in his success with his old friend and right-hand man, Teddy, and his label's CEO, Paul Keller. Nyle's latest victory has placed him on the precipice of becoming the next Tom Ford - that is, if his infamous appetites for cocaine and call girls don't destroy him first. Nyle's antics have thrust those closest to him, including Teddy, Paul, and Nyle's overly indulgent wife, Debra, into the role of handlers, a duty they tolerate with the understanding that they'll all see millions when the company goes public.
Nyle plans to celebrate the way he always does: with copious amounts of drugs and eager women. However, when gorgeous college student Sara Bell shows up at his party, he freaks out and sends everyone home. Later, Nyle shows up at Sara's apartment, wired out of his mind. They seem to have a bad history, and Nyle wants to make amends, but Sara doesn't want to hear it. Two days later, Sara Bell is found dead.
While the initial evidence points Goren and Eames in the direction of Sara's jealous boyfriend, two things quickly become clear: one, that Sara Bell was actually a call girl masquerading as a college student, and two, she had information on Nyle that could have ruined his career. And with the IPO in three weeks, Nyle and everyone close to him stand to lose big. To Goren and Eames, it sounds like a motive for a murder. The question is, which of them stood to lose the most?
