FAN OF THE WEEK

FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 20, 2007

Kathy

Hi, Kathy here, smack dab in the heart of dixie.

I was watching TV one evening and came across a new child of Law and Order and thought I'd give it a try.

I was soon captivated by this tall, quirky (I like quirky) detective with his cute, petite partner, who, I soon found out, was a lot tougher than what I first gave her credit for. The interrogation scene was hilarious, yet compelling. That episode was "Jones" and I've been hooked ever since.

But it was a scene in another episode that solidified just what this partnership was all about. Goren was reliving an experience that had brought out some personal demons, and his temperary partner Bishop was unaware, but "Eames would've known", and as he looks across his desk at her empty chair, after throwing a wad of paper at it out of frustration, he gets this serene little smile on his face, and he turns to Bishop and says "It's Neal, he misses his partner". That episode was "F.P.S." I don't think any other episode really defines thier partnership any better.

Chris Noth was Law and Order and, in my opinion, that show hasn't been the same since his departure. So it's CI's gain and I, for one, am so happy to see him back in action.

So, in a southern pecan nut shell, Law and Order Criminal Intent soars above any other show on the tube. Long live CI!

Kathy
