"Letter Never Sent" - Stockholm, Sweden
"I thought I knew what you did. But I really had no idea, until now. It's impressive." —Danielle Brooks
Stockholm, so beautiful it's often referred to as the "Venice of the North" — serves as a perfect getaway for Annie and Danielle. Of course, there's no such thing as a simple vacation with the CIA, and when Annie is sent on a courier mission, it puts both her and Danielle in danger.
- Stockholm was the third and final destination in the Season 2.5 European shoot, and the first overseas episode for Anne Dudek (Danielle).
- Besides being chosen for its beauty as a city, Stockholm (and the surrounding area) provided the right mix of cosmopolitan cityscape and wind-swept rural areas that the episode required.
- Unlike other locations that have been used through the first two seasons of "Covert Affairs", writers/executive producers Matt Corman and Chris Ord had never been to Stockholm prior to writing this episode, and so instead drew upon extensive research — books, travel documentaries and guides, etc. — as they crafted the story for this episode.
