Bethany H. I have loved watching Covert Affairs ever since it aired on July 13! It is amazing and so different compared to other series. It brings everything into perspective and it gives every group (race, sex, age, disability, etc...) a place in the sometimes hostile work place. It is definitely a Season 1 will buy on DVD -- it has moved to the top of my favorite list at No. 1!
Here is a story of a time I used my skills (like Annie/Piper) to escape a sticky situation! I was in the Hackley Library (Muskegon) catching up on some work in the computer lab. I signed in right outside the department, but I sensed someone was watching me. I sat down to the computer assigned to me, in paranoia I watched people pass. A guy sat almost directly behind me and just watched me work. A little freaked out I finished my work quickly. The prints of work get sent to the main desk so I logged off and headed to the front. Standing at the desk I see the same guy (tall, thin, dark complexion, red shirt, sagging jeans) walk out the front door. Relieved, I pay for my prints and start to leave. I see this same guy in the same red shirt standing out front holding the door. I thought quickly and went upstairs (nonetheless) to the children's section. I pretended to look through the movies there (I had a clear view of the door, but was mostly hidden) I see the guy walk in and look around. I don't look of course, but he sees me and goes back down stairs. Now I'm smart enough to know that this is no coincidence that this same guy is following me so I calmed myself. I remembered there was an elevator that led to the basement and to a back door so I took that. I got out of there as fast as I could. I went home grabbed my camera and changed my clothes. I headed back to the library to see if I could get a shot of my stalker. I know I've never seen him before, but maybe he's seen me. Sure enough he was there sitting at a table facing seven rows of book shelves. I hid between them and tried to snap a photo of him through the creases in the book shelves. I didn't have a clear shot, and I didn't want him to see me so I went up stairs (there was a section of the library that was more open). I tried to get an aerial view, but I yet again had no clear shot. I saw him get up and go toward the computer lab again in his previous position. I maneuvered around to the CD's and kind of watched him. He spotted me again so I left the same way as before, but I made sure he didn't follow me. His face appeared in my school newsletter a few days later saying that he'd been caught selling drugs to other teenagers. I guess I got lucky that nothing happened. Bethany H.
