Dwayne D. Spy credentials: former US Army recon specialist, familiar with European countries and cultures, and partially tri-lingual (Spanish, French, German, aside from native English). Small arms specialist (and now designer for training weapons systems and replica weapons) with a background in demolitions, Airborne training and marksman training. Fan credentials: I discovered the show while working late at home one night and have been watching it ever since. Seems I missed most of the first season, so I watch the episodes on the USA website nearly daily at work or home to catch up. Think I have been through the entire series at least 3 times now, and it just gets more entertaining and engrossing every time I watch them. I have to say, some of the ideas from the "home made spy gear" that Michael, Fiona and Sam come up with do get used in things I am working on, since some of it is used in military training, and the ingenuity that they display is absolute genius at times! I have been a Bruce Campbell fan for a long time, so finding him in a role that really shows a lot of his talents is not only a wonderful find but really brings the entertainment of the show up that "extra notch" (the guy could play anything, just give him a script!). The true thing that captivated me from the first show has to be Gabrielle Anwar; ever since seeing her in the Three Musketeers I have made it a point to look for movies she is in whenever I get a chance. Radiant beauty, sharp wit and a touch of mischievous enthusiasm make her a wonderful addition to any cast she is a part of, and it is great seeing her play a role that can pose some real challenges to her as an actress and physically. Jeffrey Donovan is a new face and name to me, but I can say I will be actively looking for other roles he has played from now on! I have to say one thing about him right off that made me thrilled to see him in this role; he really brings the right “feel” to the character. His humor is catching, timing is great and he has the right “look” for the job at hand, so there is a lot less “suspension of disbelief” with him as a spy then many other characters I have seen. Favorite Gadget: How do you name just one? My personal favorite would have to be the hardware store (if that can be considered a “gadget”), as people always assume they need some technically advanced way of doing things when a trip to the local hardware store can provide you with more options then you will know what to do with, if you use a little creativity. "Ask a Spy" Question: with the advent of widespread car security systems, like OnStar and such, how do you bypass them to steal so many cars on the show? Overall, I am thrilled with the show and waiting anxiously for July 10th, so I can catch up on what happened after the conclusion of last season (by the way, great way to leave a cliffhanger!). I am looking forward to seeing what everyone has been up to with Michael gone, and since I have nearly all my friends, family, co-workers and customers watching it now, it has turned into a great topic of conversation around here! Yours truly, Dwayne D. Think you deserve the honor of "Burn Notice Fan of the Week"? Email Webmaster@USANetwork.com with your credentials and tell us your favorite gadget from the show and what "Ask a Spy" question you would want Michael to answer. Include your name and a photo of yourself, and we may feature you right here on the official site! |
