JEFF FREILICH
Jeff Freilich is executive producer in the third season of the hit USA Network original series
BURN NOTICE, which continues its third season on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 10/9c.
Freilich graduated from Antioch College with a degree in psychology and then attended USC School of Medicine. He began his career in the entertainment industry when he became the producer on Tim Hunter's AFI thesis project, "Devil's Bargain."
His experience in producing sparked his interest in all aspects of film and television. Freilich began rewriting screenplays for Roger Corman and Sam Arkoff. He then spent twenty-four years signed to a series of long-term studio development deals as writer, producer and director in episodic television, cable motion pictures and feature films.
Freilich's career in the entertainment industry had almost immediate success. While working at Universal, he served as executive story consultant on "Baretta" and "Quincy," as writer and producer of "The Incredible Hulk," which earned him his first Emmy nomination.
He also had many accomplishments in development while at Lorimar/Warner Bros., creating three network television series. He also served as writer, director, and executive producer on "Falcon Crest," "Dark Justice," "Against the Grain" and "Freddy's Nightmares."
Freilich remained a successful producer and while in partnership with Norman Jewison, he produced for Showtime the Emmy and ACE award-winning "Picture Windows" and the Emmy-winning "Rescuers: Stories of Courage," in collaboration with Barbra Streisand.
He then moved on to Paramount where he wrote, produced, and directed "Naked City" and "Codename: Phoenix," and produced "Execution of Justice" and "Mean Streak." Freilich then worked for Lion's Gate where he consulted on the production of "The Cat's Meow."
Freilich remained close with his producing roots and produced "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas", "Wrong Turn: Dead End," "Bachelor Party: The Last Temptation," and "Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia" for Twentieth Century Fox.
