MIKKEL BONDESEN
Mikkel Bondesen serves as executive producer of the USA Network original series
BURN NOTICE, which premieres its third season on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at 9/8c.
Bondesen is the President and CEO of Fuse Entertainment, a full service creative management company with a production arm. FUSE clients include Writers Josh Schwartz (THE OC, CHUCK, Gossip Girl), Matt Nix (
BURN NOTICE), James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, Spiderman 4), Producer Dan Lin (Terminator 4, Sherlock Holmes).
On the production side, Bondesen has used his Danish contacts to carve out an untapped niche by securing the rights to some of Scandinavia's most popular films, books and TV series. The first of which was Fox 2000 "Catch That Kid," a remake of the famous Danish children's movie. Bondesen has also produced the remake of "Midsummer," a major Danish horror film and is currently producing a remake of the hugely successful Danish movie "Oh Happy Day." Fuse also has a first look deal to develop and produce television with Fox Television Studios. Through this deal Fuse has set up several pilots at different networks, including a remake of the Emmy Award-winning Danish TV show Nikolaj and Julie with Emmy Award-winner Director Scott Winant.
In the fall of 2003, Bondesen was named on the Hollywood Reporter's highly coveted "Next Generation List." He was also named as one of the "Super League Exports to Hollywood" by Denmark's largest newspaper, BT. He was named one of Fade In Magazine's "Top 100 People You Need To Know" and he has also been included in Details Magazine "People To Watch" list.
Mikkel Bondesen moved to the US in 1996 to attend AFI from his native country of Denmark where he had had a significant career producing commercials. After graduating from AFI in 1998 and not knowing a soul in Los Angeles, Bondesen built a very successful client list under his Bondesen Management banner, until forming FUSE entertainment.
Mikkel is also the creator and founder of The Young Storytellers Program (www.youngstorytellers.com), a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the lives of children through the art of storytelling. In addition, he has also served as a teacher at a local Los Angeles area high school and he's an adjunct professor at USC where he teaches screenwriting.
Bondesen lives in Los Angeles with his Danish wife and two children.
