While enjoying his morning muffin, Hank is interrupted by AJ, a beautiful but spacey socialite with a taste for gossip and a habit of fainting at inopportune times. AJ, who enlists Hank's help when her health begins to worsen, seems to have a fascination with all things HankMed, but Hank's only concern is figuring out what's behind his new client's strange symptoms. Something is just not adding up with AJ...

Meanwhile, Divya is reunited with a former patient, documentary filmmaker/kidney donor Adam, and the sparks are still flying. But her feelings for her patient are putting Divya's professionalism - not to mention her relationship with Raj - to the test.

In other complicated relationship news, Boris' romance with Marisa, his beautiful Cuban doctor, is taking a new turn; Marisa has finally arrived at Shadow Pond after her incarceration in Cuba, and while performing a post-prison check-up, Hank learns some very surprising - and very secret - news about Marisa.

But when it comes to keeping secrets, no one can beat Eddie R. Lawson. Is it his plan to move in with Ms. Newberg that's been setting him on edge lately? Maybe it's the stress of getting his BlueSky venture off the ground? Or could it have something to do with the mysterious stranger Evan saw arguing with his father? Whatever the cause, there's no doubt that Eddie is acting strangely. Hank can't help but worry about his health, while Evan focuses his concern on his father's finances. But when the Lawsons are summoned to Shadow Pond for a shocking announcement from Boris, the brothers discover that all their fears about their father may be justified...

About Royal Pains

USA Network is proud to announce the return of the Hamptons' best doctor-on-demand, Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein), in Royal Pains.

Once a rising star in the New York City medical community, Hank found himself out of work, dumped by his fiancée and out of options after a dustup with some hospital honchos. Fed up with Hank's personal pity-party, his younger brother, Evan (Paulo Costanzo), convinced Hank to join him on a last-minute trip to the Hamptons for Memorial Day weekend. When the brothers crashed a party at the home of a Hamptons billionaire and a guest fell critically ill, Hank saved the day. His dramatic medical rescue drew attention from the crowd, and soon Hank's phone started ringing off the hook with patients wanting Hank to make house calls.

By the end of the weekend, HankMed was born. With Evan as the company's CFO and the whip-smart, ambitious Divya (Reshma Shetty) as Hank's physician's assistant, Hank became the Hamptons' new in-demand Doctor-for-Hire. News travels fast on the East End, especially when it's about a talented young doctor with MacGyver-like skills who makes house calls. But the rich and powerful aren't the only ones seeking out HankMed's services; there are plenty of less well-off locals who need his help, too, and he's more than happy to lend a hand.

But after a few idyllic summers in the Hamptons, there are big changes in store for HankMed this season. Hank returns from his travels abroad with Boris (Campbell Scott), but realizes coming home isn’t always as easy as it seems. Evan and Paige (Brooke D’Orsay) grow stronger in their marriage thanks to the help of an unconventional therapist. Divya must find a way to balance the challenges of being a single-mom with her job at HankMed. HankMed’s newest doctor, Jeremiah Sacani (Ben Shenkman) realizes that having Divya and her baby stay with him isn’t going to be as easy as he thought. And when a mysterious young woman shows up at the guesthouse at the beginning of summer, she changes Hank and Evan’s lives forever. So as another summer heats up in the Hamptons, this season promises to be anything but a walk on the beach!
