Darren McMullen is the host of NFL Football Fanatic on USA Network. The series follows Scottish-born McMullen as he embarks on a journey across America to delve deep into the culture of the NFL. He will explore all aspects of the traditions, experiences, and bizarre rituals -- and by the end of the journey, he will select an NFL team to call his own.
McMullen began his career at MTV Australia, where he both hosted and acted. His first role on primetime network television was as the host of the quirky and irreverent Australian game show Minute To Win It -- a role that would eventually catapult his career to the United Kingdom, where he hosted the local version for ITV. In the U.K., McMullen also hosted BBC One’s live show The Magicians.
His breakout role in America was on NBC’s primetime series Love in the Wild in 2011.
McMullen most notably was a host of The Voice Australia and The Voice Kids Australia for five seasons, working alongside coaches including Ricky Martin, Seal, Kylie Minogue, Keith Urban, Mel B, and will.i.am.
In 2014, McMullen joined the star-studded cast of House Husbands, one of Australia’s top-rated dramas. That same year, he also starred on the Australian National Geographic series Darren McMullen's Outsiders, which followed him as he travelled the world to explore weird and wandering subcultures.
After five seasons of hosting The Voice Australia, McMullen moved on to host Australia’s Channel 7’s The Big Music Quiz, a comedy panel show with eight celebrities battling it out each week to see who knows more about music.
McMullen was born in Scotland and immigrated to Australia at age 12. He moved to the U.S. in 2009.
