The Voice is back tonight on NBC and we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to look at our own vocal talents here at USA Network, where hidden and not-so-hidden musical prowess abounds.
Here’s just a sampling of USA’s stars who can not only carry a tune, but whose singing chops could probably give those Voice mentors a reason to turn their chairs!
Chrisley Knows Best fans were shocked when, in the fourth midseason finale, Todd teamed up with country singer Sara Evans to surprise his wife Julie with a musical anniversary present. Let’s be honest, having a love song written in your honor is a pretty amazing gift. And “Infinite Love,” which then became a hit single on iTunes, certainly delivered. Who knew Todd could sing like that? Even Julie seemed surprised! The Chrisleys went on to put out a holiday album last year and Todd continues to impress us with his musical talents!
Gina Torres is not just a force to be reckoned with as her character Jessica Pearson. And while we’ve admired Torres’ acting abilities long before her tenure with Suits, it's just one side of her talents. She started training in music at an early age, even attending LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (aka the Fame high school!) in New York City. When we asked Torres in an interview what her karaoke jam would be, Torres said without hesitation, “Proud Mary.” Man, would we love to see that!
Anyone who tuned into her hit show of the year, The Sinner, knows that Jessica Biel’s talents are out of this world. But did you realize that the actress and executive producer was also bitten by the musical theater bug? We discovered this interview of Biel from 2009, in which she was promoting her role in Guys and Dolls at the Hollywood Bowl, directed by Broadway veteran Richard Jay-Alexander. “Her voice is silvery,” Jay-Alexander said of Biel’s turn as Sarah Brown, playing opposite of one of Broadway's biggest stars, Brian Stokes Mitchell. “Silvery?” Sigh. Is there anything Jessica Biel can’t do?

Speaking of Broadway, we all know and love Dulé Hill. From Psych to Suits, Hill has been a USA fan favorite for over a decade. Meanwhile, when he’s not cracking people up as the reluctant private eye Gus Gunderson or raising an eyebrow as legal hotshot Alex Williams, Dule is delighting Broadway audiences with his pro singing and dancing chops -- most recently as the host in After Midnight, a thrilling musical set in Harlem’s legendary Cotton Club. Come on, son! Stop being so dang talented!

Props to James Corden who unearthed an old video clip of Mr. Robot star Christian Slater, killing it at 12 years old in Broadway’s production of Merlin at the Tony Awards. Sure, we knew Christian was a talented dude (Golden Globe, anyone?), but we’re sorry -- we had no idea he also had the voice of a freaking angel. To boot, Slater recently appeared in a Hollywood Bowl production of Spamalot. What? No “Carpool Karaoke,” James? Maybe next time!
Be sure to tune in to an all-new season of The Voice, premiering Monday, Sept. 25 at 8/7c on NBC!
